Ken Barth has over 20 years of management leadership experience in the technology industry.
From November 1997 to January 2010, he was the Founder/CEO of TekTools, Inc, which brought to market the KAWA and Profiler products. KAWA, a Java Integrated Development Environment, garnered more than 50,000 users worldwide and the product was acquired by the Allaire Corp. in November of 2000. Profiler, a IT Infrastructure Monitoring and Reporting Suite, was acquired by Solarwinds in January 2010. From December 1993 until October of 1997, he helped to found and build Micromuse, Inc from a U.S. startup to a publicly traded company.
Ken is an active volunteer in the Dallas Independent School District, and contributor to DISD’s inaugural “Leadership DISD” program and Dallas Kid’s First, a PAC that helps to identify and elect strong School Board Trustees for our kids. He is also very interested in initiatives at the State and Local level to help our kids in public education.
Ken is also an active supporter of investigative journalism initiatives. He worked closely with the Columbia School of Journalism to establish and launch The New York World, their digital investigative news outlet that focuses on the boroughs of New York.
